Spicy Fried Shrimp Recipe

1. 1 1/2 red onion, sliced
2. 1 pound uncooked medium shrimp, peeled and deveined
3. 1 teaspoon ground turmeric, or to taste
4. salt to taste
5. 1/4 cup water, or as needed
6. olive oil for frying
7. 1 tablespoon butter, or as needed
8. 3 jalapeno peppers, thinly sliced
9. 2 1/2 tablespoons ginger-garlic paste
10. 2 1/2 teaspoons cayenne pepper
11. 2 tablespoons ground coriander
12. 1 tablespoon ground cumin
13. 1 teaspoon ground black pepper
14. 5 tablespoons lime juice
15. 1 tablespoon white vinegar
16. 1 teaspoon soy sauce
17. 1/2 teaspoon red food coloring
18. 1 cinnamon stick
19. 2 teaspoons poppy seeds
20. 1 teaspoon coconut milk powder
21. 2 cardamom pods
22. 2 whole cloves
23. 1 star anise pod
24. 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
25. 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
26. 1/2 teaspoon dried rosemary

Directions :
1. puree crimson onion in a blender or food processor.
2. season shrimp with approximately half of of the turmeric and salt.
3. warmness a skillet over medium heat. add shrimp, the last turmeric, and water. season with salt; simmer until water evaporates, 6 to eight mins.
4. warmness oil and butter in a separate skillet over medium heat. add pureed onions, jalapenos, ginger-garlic paste, cayenne pepper, coriander, cumin, and black pepper. cook dinner and stir until golden brown, about 7 mins.
